Putting Down Roots in Earthquake Country
This popular 32-page earthquake science and preparedness handbook was first published in 1995 by the Southern California Earthquake Center, and with the Spring 2006 update is now available in both English and Spanish.

Homeowner's Guide to Earthquake Safety
This guide is available for download (as a PDF) from the California Seismic Safety Commission. The guide's web site also provides links to any internet-based resources mentioned within the document.
